When explaining the plot, Rod Sterling mentioned that there would be six dimensions, but the network executive asked where the fifth went. Realizing that just four had been mentioned before, not five, Rod, fortunately, corrected his mistake before the show aired.

During the airing, 14,000 script ideas were sent, and Rod read around 500, out of which none were added to the show. However, he did consider two to be well-written, but they just didn’t go with the flow.

The famous on-camera introductions by Serling did not start up until season two.

The Looney Zone parodied Serling’s episode by using Looney Tunes as the main characters.

Cloris Leachman and Bill Mumy are the only ones to have appeared in the original series and the reboot in 2002. Their original episode was the only one to have a sequel, and they played the role of a mother and her mind-controlling son.

The lead role in To Serve Man went on to play the role of Jaw, the iconic James Bond villain in The Spy Who Loved Me and Moonraker.
